Man life has been crazy busy lately, but in a very very good way. Since my last post sooo much has happened. I went skiing for the first time ever and that was a ton of fun. I moved back to Oklahoma City and start a new job tomorrow. Now onto the fitness stuff.
I'm restarting week 5 again this week. If you do the math I should be onto week 7 however the first time I tired to start week 5 I pulled a muscle so I took the week off to let it heal before skiing. Than last week I tired again and then found out I got the job so I ended up packing and unpacking on the days that I would normally run but after all that I'm getting back on track and sticking to it. Now for my weigh in!
Now I was super nervous about this because I haven't been running but I was still eating right and counting my calories. I am now down to 270.6 lbs making for a total loss of 79.4 lbs.... Holy Cow I've almost lost 80 lbs. So these results just go to show you all the facts out there saying that 70% of weight loss is what you eat and 30% is exercise. Now I'm not saying that, that means you can just eat right and lose all that you want to lose. It for me just hammers home even more the fact that you can't out exercise a bad diet.
Right before I moved I started a couple of fun visual things for my weight loss journey.
The first is two jars labeled "Weight to Lose" and "Weight Lost" with crystals in them equaling 1,800 crystal between the two (100 for every 10lbs I will lose by the end of the journey). For every tenth of a lb I lose I move a crystal from weight to lose to weight lost. For which today I get to move 64 crystals over :)
The second one is a Clothes Fund. I have already been complaining that I really need to go clothes shopping for some clothes even more so dress clothes because everything is sooooooo baggy on me. However, I know that I don't need to buy to much because they won't last for long either. This jar is not for the those time tho. This is for the end result. The thought behind this is to put a dollar into the clothes fund for every workout I do. I backed tracked and added money for all my previous couch to 5k workouts. But this way when I reach my goal weight I can have all this extra money saved up for a nice shopping spree in a normal store not a plus size store. That is really what I'm looking forward to being able to do. The only problem with this is that I need to remember to have cash in my wallet even more so have ones in my wallet because right now I have some IOU's in there because I didn't not have any one dollar bills lately.
Anyways, sorry for the time I spent away from this blog but let it be known that I did not give up on this new lifestyle .... its very addicting :)
you're so awesome, Anna! Once I get the okay from my doctor (assuming this baby is eventually born!), I'd love to get advice from you on everything you're doing so I can start getting into some sort of shape. And maybe go out with you sometime if you run around OKC!
ReplyDeleteSounds great! I'm all for getting others involved :)
