Day One...

So this is the first time I will publicly tell anyone besides my parents my starting weight in September!

In mid September I started at 350lbs. Yes I knew I was heavy but never really thought it was that much! At that point in time I made a pack to myself that I would be down to 300lbs by Christmas..... A week before Christmas I was 1lb away from my goal and decided not to step on the scale again until Christmas Eve. So on Christmas Eve I stepped onto the scale hoping for just 1lb lighter.  However, I did not lose 1lb I ....... LOST 5 more lbs.  So in 3 1/2 months I lost 54lbs and 2 pant sizes!!!!!!!!

Now that I have had a jump start going into the new year I plan on taking it a step further in 2012.

My ultimate goal is to get into the size 12 pants (which I can't remember the last time if fit into) sitting on my dresser and to lose 120lbs but until that happens I just want to be small enough that I can go into any store and buy something off the rack because the only thing I hate more than being big is only being able to shop in 2 or 3 stores or online!

The way I plan on doing this is to keep up my new eating style and by starting to train for a 5K and today was my first day!

Today I ran/walked 1.14 miles in a little under 20 mins plus the 5 min warm-up and cool-down which is not calculated into the the distance and time.

I would be lying to myself if I said it wasn't hard at all because it was but I made it through the entire workout with giving up! And man did it make me feel amazing.

Thank you for reading my blog as I work on becoming a new me in 2012! Any motivation will be more than welcomed. Also just so you know I plan on uploading a picture and post my current weight every Monday :)
